A Little Piece of Heaven – Lac Windy

I just returned from a little piece of heaven introduced to me by my most favorite person, Dan Cramm.  Otherwise known as vacation!

No we did not go to hot resort or on a cruise.  We went to a place much better, Lac Windy, also known as Camp.  Five cabins nestled on a lake which no one knows about except the people who frequent there on a yearly basis.

Camp is not luxurious and does not have maid service or a restaurant.  It has something truly better, Dave and Joyce Baxter, part owners of the Camp. Along with lots of good food, good people, and fun!

We would rise each day to hot coffee, breakfast, and loads of stories told by Baxter.  Who can perform like no other you’ll ever meet.  Eventually, we would go to the lake to clean off and start our day, usually trying to catch fish or just sit on the dock relaxing talking to great people.  Lunch would arrive with more good food, then supper for more of the same.

At night we would go fishing.  I was totally amazed by the peace on the lake and beauty all around.  This is the place I realized anything is possible in life if you truly want it bad enough and you are willing to go get it.

Here is a list of all the great people I met:

  • Joyce and Dave Baxter
  • Bob and Barb Graham
  • String and Kim
  • Shorty
  • Herman
  • Aaron
  • Davie
  • Proudy and Bunny
  • Angie and Darren
  • Lots of kids, who unfortunately I don’t remember all their names

The picture does not truly portray the Camp for its true beauty.  It is a little piece of heaven I am very lucky to have found.
