Emergency System in Place?
August 8, 2010goldenkey 13 Comments »As part of my own Business Coaching, I have to do weekly challenges which pertain to my business.
Last month, I had to put in place an Emergency System in case I had to be away from my business for any period of time. I was really stumped at what Emergency System I would put in place. So I started making documents and files of passwords for my computer systems, where my files are located, a list of current clients with contact information and a coaching schedule. All items are password protected. These lists are on my computer in a separate file on my desktop and the password is in the hands of someone I highly trust – My Business Coach.
This particular challenge game in handy just 1 week after it was completed. I found myself away from my business due to a family emergency. I didn’t have to worry about my business since all I needed to do was make one phone call and everything would be taken care of.
I called my Business Coach, explained what had happened and she immediately went to work to call or email clients who had appointments. Everything was settled in less than 30 minutes.
Once all was said and done, we remarked how great it is when I system works!
In your business do you have an Emergency System in place? If not, now is the time for you to think about this and implement one.
