Sounds like lot’s of fun!

No wonder there are so many women who give up on their dreams or stay playing small before they can ever realize their true success.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

The key to making your business the success that you want and getting through all the challenges along the way is to work with a Mentor – someone who has been there, done that and has the t-shirt hanging on the wall labeled SUCCESS.

Running you’re business may seem like a solo act but in reality, it’s not.  You can try to figure it all out on your own wasting precious time, energy and making costly mistakes, or at some point you can have someone show you the fastest, shortest and easiest path to success.

Deciding to hire a personal Mentor is a big decision and a valuable investment.  Not doing so can be even more costly.

To figure out if it’s time for you to invest in a personal Mentor, answer these questions – Honestly.

You tried group programs and didn’t get the results you wanted.  Group programs can offer a lot of valuable content and a community of like-mined individuals.  But personal time with the Mentor is limited and usually with a lot of other people listening.  This is just not enough time when you need a personalized plan customized to you and your business.

You have a ton of information, but you’re not implementing it.  Knowledge is power but if you’re not doing anything with it you will get nowhere fast.  Focused attention on what you should be doing now to get clients and the right information will get you much further.

You keep bumping into your stuff.  This means you and the garbage in your head keeps getting in your way and stops you in your tracks just when you are moving in the right direction.

You’ve made investments in the past that just didn’t work out as you hoped or planned.  We’ve all made bad decisions in the past. Learning the lessons in these situations will help you in the future.  Deciding to move past the experience and trusting in yourself will make it easier to choose a Mentor.

You want others to invest in you.  How do you expect anyone to invest in you if you don’t see your value and worth to invest in yourself?  Face it – they won’t.

You put a lot of time and energy into your business already and there is a lot on the line.  Your business is too important to you to give up now.  You really can keep going.

It’s time to Step UP and take your business to the next level.  You know it’s really time to become the person you really want to be.  Your ready but you just don’t know where to start.

Monday’s can be a bit hectic with trying to figure out how to get new clients so you can start making money.

So, I’m here to give you the truth about getting more clients…

You have to start having conversations with your potential clients.  Learn your message and communicate it effectively.

Here are just a few things you can do now to get you started to getting more clients.

1)                  Low Hanging Fruit:  These are people who you’ve spoken to in the past who were not reading to buy your service or product, or left with “I’ll think about it” statement.  They could also be past clients who you haven’t spoken to in awhile who could use your service or product again.

Make a list of these people, start reaching out to them via email or  telephone, invite the person to catch up on what’s new, see how things are going and what their needs are now.

If you can help, make an offer.

2)                Letter of Introduction/Email:  Part of being a business owner is to educate people about what you are doing now.  A Letter of Introduction/Email does exactly that.  It explains what you are doing now, who your ideal client is, invites people to have a conversation with you and asks for a referral.

The Letter of Introduction/Email can be sent to friends, family, colleagues and people in your network.

 3)                Ask For Referrals:   Ask your best clients for referrals.  We sometimes think that our current clients will not want to do this.  Our current clients already know who we are and are more than willing to refer new people since they already know the benefit of our services or products.

Bonus Tip:

Attend a Networking Event:  Networking is 12 more effective than any other marketing that we’ll do, simply because we are coming face to face with our potential clients.

Attend networking events consistently, have conversations with people, exchange business cards and follow-up within 24-48 hrs to invite the person to have coffee to see how you can help.

Taking time to reflect on the place you’re at right now takes courage and honesty.  Doing so will allow you to make bigger and better goals for your future.

Most people base a decision on what they “have to be doing” or what “they are supposed to be doing”.  This is the wrong place to be when making a decision.  It will only lead to frustration and possible failure.

When making a decision the place you want to be in is a place that nothing else matters.  Nothing will stop you.  You will do whatever it takes to have your decision come to life.  Another way of looking at it is to be in a place of “Yes” this will work no matter what.

Let me explain this in another way for you.  I want you to really think about this.  When making a decision – no matter what it is that you want to do – you are going to do it!  No matter what!  Who cares about what other people will think about it, what the challenges or obstacles are.  You will not let your fear get in the way.  No Plan B or Plan C.

Yes, all this will rear its ugly head especially the fear.  I say “feel the fear and do it anyway!”

At times, we stop ourselves in this process simply because we do not know how to do what we have decided.  We don’t need to know how to do it.  Once you have made the decision the opportunities will come your way.  They may not be in the form you want but the opportunities will show up.

Here is a guide line in making a decision.  Ask these questions.  You should have 3 yeses and 1 no.  If not it is not a good decision to make.

1) Is this something I want to be, do or have?    Answer – Yes

2) Is being, doing or having this going to take me closer to my dreams? Answer – Yes

3) Is being, doing or having this in harmony viagra the Laws of the Universe? Answer – Yes

4) Is being, doing or having this going to violate the rights of others? Answer – No

Step into your opportunities and decide to just do it – no matter what!

Let me put it a little simpler.  I always ask my clients what they want from their business or life.  The standard response is “I don’t know”.  I always say “Yes, you do”.  A lot of the time no one has asked them before so they haven’t really thought about it.  Sometimes I get a response about wanting financial freedom, wealth, a new car, a new house, things like that.  All of this is all perfectly fine.  I want you to go deeper and look at the desire that lies in your heart.

That is exactly what I want to speak to you about your hearts desire-your true desire.

We all have it.  It’s inside of you.  It’s the conversations you have with yourself inside your head.  You play as if it were a movie “What a Wonderful Life” – “Your Wonderful Life”.  This life in your head has no boundaries, no ridicule, no judgment, no money attached to it and no obstacles attached, it just is.

We don’t speak about it for fear of what others will think about what we want, that others will think we are crazy or what you want is impossible to do.  I want to tell you it is your right to want what ever it is that you want.

For me, my desire began when I was working for a successful Financial Advisor.  I knew I wanted more.  I began getting restless; I began having anxiety, and soon becoming physically ill.  I knew I wanted more out my life.

To live my true hearts desire I had to leave my JOB.  I knew I wanted to teach, encourage and help people, to do exactly what I am doing now.  I also knew that I had to leave my job.  I didn’t know how I was going to do this or what was coming next.  It didn’t matter to me.  Once I got really clear about what I really wanted all the opportunities came flowing in.

I want you to get honest with yourself and answer this question “What do I really want”.  You don’t have to tell me, your partner, your friend, you don’t have to tell anyone.  The only person who needs to really know this is YOU.  You owe it to yourself to be honest with yourself.

You have the right to want and have anything that you want.  It’s not wrong to want what want.

We tend to get comfortable in the life we are living and we just start tolerating all the stuff we really don’t like.  That is not living.  That is suffering.

Take a few moments and answer the following questions.  Write them down.  You don’t have to show them to anyone.

1. Ask yourself if you understand your true desire.
2. Now take out all the judgment, obstacles and money.  Answer #1 again.  Can you see the difference?
3. What would I have to believe to begin taking action on this desire right now?
4. Is your life filled with things you desire or tolerate?

The first time I answered this questions it touched me deeply and yes, I cried.  I had finally admitted to myself what I really and truly wanted.  What was in my hearts desire.

Let me explain it to you this way…

I recently signed a new client.  He had a lot of great ideas for his company; products he wanted to develop, services he wanted to provide and tons of marketing ideas.  He had a plan complete with dates to be implemented and timelines.  Unfortunately, nothing had been actually implemented.  Dates had passed and timelines were forgotten.

I instantly asked him why.  He had a lots of excuses which centered on learning something else to complete his plan; “If I learn this system I’ll be ready”, “If I have this one piece of information I’m sure it will be better”.

His theory is really nice but not necessary.  We are all experts in our chosen field.  If we wait for that perfect moment to implement a new service or new product or that one piece of information that you believe will make it perfect, the time will not come.

Here is another big difference between information mode and implementation mode.  Actually, the KEY difference! Information mode does not make you money.  You stay broke!

On the other hand if you take action and implement that new product or service you make MONEY.

The reason we stay in information mode is simply out of Fear.  Fear of rejection, no one will like your new product or service, you may not be liked and the really big one – Success.  Yes, we fear success (that is a whole different article which I will tackle another time).

Feel the fear and do it anyway.  I guarantee that your fear will go away.

So, ask yourself this “Would I rather be broke or have money?”  I think it’s really a no-brainer.

My client has moved past the information mode and into implementation mode.  He is currently conducting his first group course for his product and introducing new services to his clients.

Yes, he is making money!
